The environmental friendly alternatives for your air conditioning

Air conditioners send out a lot of carbon emissions in order for it to cool down. There are different types of refrigerants used in air conditioning units. The most commonly used is the R-22 refrigerant. R-22 is the most harmful refrigerant used in air conditioners. The excess of this gas has caused great danger to the earth and is also responsible for global warming.

The R-22, when released into the air by these air conditioners, has resulted in major ozone depletion and is of great concern for sustainable development on the earth. The newly available air conditioning units come with a new refrigerant called R-134. These give the same amount of cooling but the refrigerant is not harmful to the earth and will not result in any sort of ozone depletion.

The phase out of the R-22 refrigerant has begun in air conditioners. The most responsible thing to do for the environment is to take your old air conditioning units to the professionals and replace them with the R-134 refrigerant. This will help reduce the carbon emissions in the ozone and stop it from being depleted so quickly.

Also, taking appropriate measures such as turning your air conditioners off when not in use can prove to be crucial and help reduce the ozone depletion.

Besides the R-134, there are a few other options as well for replacing the dangerous and harmful R-22 refrigerant. Spreading awareness about this could prove vital for generations to come. The R-22 gas is going to be completely phased out over the next few years.
