Indoor climate and air conditioning systems are one of their five strong business niches worldwide. IMI air conditioning product warranties and reliability are excellent while being very competitively priced. Many of the most famous buildings in the world use IMI air conditioning systems.

Responsible & Reliable

IMI takes its Corporate Social Responsibility duties very seriously. They put particular emphasis on ensuring their products are as energy efficient as possible while managing social, environmental and economic issues to the benefit of customers, shareholders and employees alike.

Applications

We engineer packages for almost any environment, big or small whether this be an office or laboratory area. We are able to design, install and repair systems in the following areas:

  • Office environments whether it be small cellular areas or dense call centres.
  • Retail outlets whether this be the high street or within a complex.
  • Manufacturing and warehousing facilities.
  • Laboratories and clean environments where cleanliness is of paramount importance.
  • Schools, government and sporting facilities
  • Small computer rooms
  • Presentation and executive boardrooms

We have a vast range of products which are of a standard build or can be adapted to suit your specific requirement.

Quality and Training

The equipment we supply is of the very highest quality. We only supply products that have passed our own quality standards whilst being tried and tested in the field prior to sale. In addition to the equipment being of the very highest standards all labour and expertise is supplied by some of the industry’s most talented and experienced staff.

We have a dedicated member of staff to audit and upkeep our quality systems ensuring they meet the obligations of ISO 9001. See ‘our staff’ section for additional information.

As a company we meet and exceed all industry standards which govern the way we operate. We are F-gas accredited overseen via REFCOM in ensuring we meet the standards laid down by the government. The SAFEcontractor scheme is a relatively new industry standard which sets new standards in health and safety and procedures in a fast and changeable world.

Quality and Training

All engineers are fully trained and qualified to a City & Guilds standard to ensure correct installation techniques are adopted whilst meeting and exceeding health and safety standards. Many of our team have in excess of 10 years service, which we believe reflects our dedication to customer service and staff retention.

Key staff are IOSH health and safety trained. Field based staff have basic first aid training carried out by St John Ambulance where not IOSH accredited.

Legislation and the Environment

There is legislation that needs to be considered by you as a client and should not be ignored. R22 phase out will have an affect upon customers with older equipment and can be reviewed in the downloads below:

pdf R22 phase out
pdf Environmental Policy

F-gas legislation outlines both the obligations of us as a firm and you as the end user. In simple terms all equipment holding more than 3kg’s of refrigerant gas needs to be leak checked periodically. This is normally undertaken when maintenance is carried out. Negligence is no defence and you need to ensure your system is maintained or at the very least leak tested as and when required.

The above is guidance that should not be ignored. If you have any doubts regarding compliance and the way forward please call us today for free and impartial advice. We can and will ensure you comply, where you allow us to help.

Warranty and PI Insurance

New systems are offered with a fully comprehensive 12 months parts and labour warranty from Air Options, subject to maintenance in line with the manufacturers guidelines. The labour element of the warranty is only subject to systems installed by Air Options unless otherwise agreed.

We are able to extend warranties, once again subject to the system being maintained. The additional period of cover offered is offered as a ‘parts only’ warranty which excludes labour, ancillary items and consumables. Full details of the warranty and extended terms are available from the outlined office. Please see below to see how warranty periods compare. The outlined are maximum terms and may change without notice. Confirmation of warranties will be made via means of official quotation.

As well as all of the compulsory insurance covers, Air Options incorporate PI insurance into our annual buying programme providing Insurer-backed cover for system design. This is cover that many of our competitors do not offer. The Professional Indemnity Insurance means that all systems designed by our installation and maintenance teams are comprehensively insured, thus providing you, the end user, with peace of mind that the effectiveness of the physical equipment is covered by a separate insurance.

By combining manufacturer backed warranties and design guarantees we believe the end user has total peace of mind. It is our objective to ensure your solution is viewed as an asset and not a liability.

Services we Offer

In addition to the peace of mind that we have been successfully trading for 15 years, we offer the following services:

Maintenance Contracts
It is now a legislative requirement that any air conditioning system containing more than 3kgs of refrigerant charge (HFC’s) is to be leak tested (falls under maintenance category) annually. We have obligations as a contractor under this legislation but the onus is on the end user to have the system regularly tested. You can simply comply by contacting us and having us maintain your system.

We have in excess of 300 contract customers with spend levels ranging from £150 per annum up to in excess of six figures. We can quote over the phone or visit site, meet and quote dependent upon your requirement.

Our SLA’s (service level agreements) are tailored to suit the following:

  • Guaranteed response time
  • Agreed site vists per annum
  • Fixed price & charges
  • Out of hours cover
  • Allocated account manager

No contract is too large or too small and we are able to tailor a package to suit your specific requirements. We offer a price promise which gives you the peace of mind you require, that our services are very competitive indeed. Price promise download (maintenance)

Facilities Management
Need your Building Managed? Air Options offer FM (facilities management) services to all clients wishing to ‘out source’ the day-to-day running of their building. This approach affords valuable time to allow you, the client, to concentrate on moving your business forward.

Many levels of FM agreements are available to fulfil the levels of cover you require, along with the budget that you have allocated. Our services extend from our HVAC expertise right through to alarm and electrical maintenance.

Entry level cover can be offered which includes remote and reactive support via means of our Service Department. Quite simply as and when a problem occurs, we will despatch a member of our team to repair/rectify the problem. Engineers and technical staff are on hand to answer all of the technical queries/questions you may have. In addition to this, we will implement a maintenance regime for all building services and will attend site as and when required and during the hours which least affect your business. A full time account manager will also be allocated.

Part time cover can be offered which sits between the entry level and comprehensive covers shown above and below respectively.

Comprehensive cover includes the allocation of a permanent engineer/manager to your building. This member of staff will be on site permanently to cover all and any issues you may have - whether they be ‘handy man’ tasks such as moving desks and hanging pictures, right through to more technical HVAC issues. The experience and skills of this individual will be tailored to suit both your budget and requirement. The engineer will be fully supported by our team and, where required, can be directly employed to align with your business model.

On many occasions Air Options see building managers unnecessarily allocated to sites, calling upon third parties to carry out very simple day-to-day tasks. This considerably increases your budget and the response times. Whilst we have no objections to this structure, we are able to reduce your budget by allocating ‘hands on’ engineering staff (fabric engineers) trained to carry out day-to-day chores whilst still retaining a competent level of administration skills and skills to cover any Health and Safety issues which may arise. This ‘hands on’ approach is complemented by remote management and periodic inspections/visits from our head office.

Our services extend to the following:

  • Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning
  • Computer Room and Data Centre Expertise
  • Water Chillers and Cooling Towers
  • Water Treatments and Risk Assessments
  • Electrical Testing and Maintenance
  • Fire and Intruder Alarms
  • Lifts and Door Entry Systems
  • Hot and Cold Water Services
  • Waste Removal and Sanitary Services
  • Energy certification (DEC), where required
  • General Fabric Tasks

Whatever your requirement, large or small, we will tailor a package to suit your exact requirements. Our Packages are extremely competitive and are considerably more cost effective when compared to directly employing your own team and attempting to keep up with the minefield of legislation associated with your building.

Why us?

We do the following:

Take ownership of the package, installation or service and deliver the works efficiently and to an end allowing the client to carry on with business as usual with little or no disruption.

Give the best advice based upon the solution being fit for purpose, viable and economical. We will also however tell all sides of the story to allow the client to make an informed decision. In our experience this protects all parties from criticism at a later stage.

Keep you informed. Communication is the key to everything we do. Whilst we enjoy all communication mediums, email, TXT etc, there is nothing quite like picking up the phone or meeting to discuss things especially when urgent or there’s the risk of it being taken out of context in any other format. We appreciate you may have people to answer to or keep informed.

Offer the very best rates and work with the very best manufacturers in the industry. This protects all parties from criticism and unnecessary cost given there is a great deal of peace of mind to be had, in knowing that the equipment will remain reliable and cost effective for its life expectancy. Why take risks in installing cheap brands that will no doubt prove to be a false economy when out of warranty. This type of false economy not only gives the contractor a bad name, given their poor advice and selection, but leaves the end user with ongoing unnecessary costs.

Established 15 years with an impeccable trading history. We are financially strong giving you the peace of mind that we are a company here to stay and any contractual commitments between us, warranty or otherwise is protected.

Tax Efficient

The vast majority of solutions we engineer attract additional tax benefits from ECA’s (enhanced capital allowances). ECA’s are a tax efficient benefit the government have put in place to encourage businesses to reduce their carbon footprint although there is no understanding when this incentive will be lifted. Taking this into account with our already competitive rates and price promise, it is an ideal time to purchase.

ECA qualification is dictated by the ETL (energy technology list) and subject to the equipment appearing will qualify. Air Options can only go so far with this and the claim itself is then up to you and your accountant. We will of course assist where possible.

Whilst it is not always straight forward Air Options have a wealth of experience in this sector and have engineered many systems from just a few thousand pounds to in excess of six figures which qualify.

What Is ECA?
The Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme is a key part of the Government's programme to manage climate change. It provides businesses with enhanced tax relief for investments in equipment that meets published energy-saving criteria.

Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECA) allow the cost of an investment to be written off against the taxable profits of the period in which the investment is made. This can boost cash flow along with the comfort that your purchase will also benefit from reduced energy bills due to their energy efficient nature.

There are no catches or drawbacks to the scheme and it really should be seen as an incentive. The vast majority of market leading brands appear on the ETL giving you the peace of mind that manufacturer is both familiar and reputable.

For more information please refer to the ECA website http://www.eca.gov.uk/etl/

How do you claim an ECA?
ECA claims should be submitted as part of your normal corporate or income tax return.

It is important to retain all documents relating to your ECA claim, including invoices, dated screen prints from the ECA website and anything from the company that installs the equipment. HMRC may investigate any aspect of a tax return and you should have all necessary evidence to hand to support your claim.
